  • Candidates must be a College graduate with a degree in ECE, ME or EE
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced, quality intensive environment

Summary:

  • Develop a relationship with the customer and gain an understanding of process capability and capacity
  • Ability to recognize opportunities to provide customers with ELI represented solutions
  • Interface between customer and supplier to facilitate technical exchanges, negotiations, and problem resolution
  • Provide suppliers with technical information related to customers’ future requirements for next-generation products

Sales Engineers

Position Summary: Our Technical Sales Engineers specialize in technologically advanced products and services involved primarily in the electronics and semiconductor assembly and test industries. The role requires a strong knowledge of technical products to work as well as a general knowledge of the processes the equipment is targeted to support. As an Edgeworth Technical Sales Engineer, individuals will work closely with our customers and the OEM sales teams to promote the sale of Edgeworth Laguna Inc. represented product lines. Technical Sales Engineers are the first line of contact with all new customers and along with their OEM sales team, Technical Sales Engineers establish and maintain long-term business relationships with new and existing customers. Technical Sales Engineers are key members of a company’s sales team. They provide the technical expertise that enables our OEM partners to fully understand the customer’s needs and develop appropriate solutions. These sales engineers will also present or demonstrate product proposals and provide technical support to customers before and after a sale. As an ELI Technical Sales Engineer, they will also research sales competition and develop strategies for market acceptance and growth.      

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

   
  • You’ll usually split your time between the office and visiting customers, visiting them on a weekly/semi-weekly or monthly basis as business needs dictate.
  • “Get the sale” using various customer sales methods (door-to-door, cold calling, presentations, etc.)
  • Forecast sales, develop “out of the box” sales strategies/models and evaluate their effectiveness
  • Meet personal and team sales targets
  • Research accounts and generates or follow through sales leads
  • Attend meetings, sales events and training to keep abreast of the latest developments, support marketing efforts through various means of brand promotion including active participation in web development activities
  • Report and provide feedback to management using financial statistical data
  • Maintain and expand client database within your assigned territory / product line
  • Search for new clients who might benefit from company products or services and maximize client potential in designated regions
  • Develop long-term relationships with customers, through the management and interpretation of their requirements, anticipating their needs, setting / managing their expectations and providing an exemplary level of service.
  • Persuading clients that a product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price, and delivery through technical presentations, discussions, etc.
  • Negotiating tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both customers, OEM partner, and company needs
  • Communicate sales / service opportunities and customer concerns / suggestions
  • Identify and resolve client concerns; recommending a course of action to alleviate these concerns in the future
  • Maintain awareness of pertinent client information, future plans, payment performance
  • Communicate any client information that may affect company decisions to appropriate departments as needed
  • Research market requirements and market data applicable to our product lines
  • Maintain knowledge of competitor products and identify and report intelligence on competitor pricing or marketing strategies
  • Maintain an overall Edgeworth Laguna Inc. product knowledge
  • Submit a variety of sales status reports as required, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals through E-DARs, SOMS, MSR’s and other formats as directed
  • Follow up and close delinquent transactions with customers, resolving issues identified by customers to prevent issues occurring for the same problem
  • Provide training and produce support material for other members of the sales team
  • Advising customers of updates and new technologies
  • Other duties as assigned

  • The employee is exposed to various production environments with moderate noise levels created by manufacturing equipment in a clean/semi-clean room settings
